It is simple, I am a business owner balancing family, work, and my sanity. This is my life, my business, my passion. Hello, I’m Rachel; wife, mother, owner of Invitation Revelation and awesome! I survive each day with an overactive imagination and a lot of coffee.

When I was younger and trying to pick my profession I knew my life goal was to be a stay at home mother. I would meet the man of my dreams, get married, have beautiful children, and I would make my family and my business perfect. I spent a lot of time researching my options. I loved art and crafting/creating but the term “starving artist” wasn’t exactly what I wanted to sign up for. At the time I was working as a photographer, which I loved, but that took me out to a different location every few days and I spent weekends taking photos or editing and producing them. As fate would have it, I received an advertisement for a degree in graphic design. I soon saw design as the answer to my future, I could stay at home and work! I enrolled, graduated top of my class, got a great job and after a few years started my own business. Much later down the road I met the man of my dreams, and we now have a beautiful family together.

Working from home has opened and closed many doors for me. Some people are uncomfortable knowing I am not sitting in an office without distractions while other people love knowing they can reach me any time with their design and printing emergencies. For those of you who wonder “What the heck is a design or printing emergency!?” think of the frantic bride who spelled her fiancé’s last name wrong on their invitations (true story, lots of tears) or the guy sitting in his cubicle pulling out his hair because he put the wrong date on his company’s event flier that has to be mailed the next day. It really happens, and when it does I am here, even on the weekends. The fact is I traded in my stilettos and blazers for a little more of a casual look. I do not clock in (or out) at specific times. I work around my family’s schedule, while maintaining high quality and professional work.

I love what I do, and I know my love shines through my work. If there is a way to create, color, type, draw, photograph or design something I will find a way to do it. I’ve been a graphic designer for over 15 years and an artist my entire life. I love that I get the opportunity to collaborate with people during the biggest moments of their lives. I know we can create something together that you will love. If you can imagine it, I can make it happen.
